Username Policy

Username Requirements

A username must be available and meet the format requirements shown during registration. Choose a clear, readable name and check it carefully before confirming.

• Use only the characters permitted by the registration form.
• Do not include private information you do not want to make public.
• Do not claim a protected name without authorization.

Prohibited Usernames

Names must not impersonate a person or organization, contain threats or hateful abuse, mislead visitors, infringe trademarks, or promote unlawful activity.

Visibility and Privacy

Your public address may be shared, searched, and indexed. For example, tap.li/alex points to the page using that username. Deleting a page does not immediately remove copies or search results held by others.

Username Changes

Changing a username can break existing links and printed QR codes. Check the options available in your account or contact support before planning a change. Availability of another name is not guaranteed.

Enforcement and Removal

A name may be restricted or removed when it violates these rules or applicable law. We may ask for information to assess a dispute, and a name can remain unavailable while a concern is reviewed.

Inactive and Reserved Names

An apparently unused name is not necessarily available. Some names may be reserved for platform functions, safety, or an existing account. Do not sell or promise access to a username you do not control.

Reporting a Username Concern

Write to support@tapnify.com with the public URL, the issue, and evidence of the rights you claim. Reports must be accurate; submitting a report does not guarantee that a name will be transferred.
